Is that a joke? (cant tell sarcasm through text, so who knows..)
Even if it is holiday themed or something, they wouldn't put in Jesus or anything becuase of the many different religions of people playing this game... not just Christian. Maybe a big fluffy bunny...

No event planned as of yet, as the developpers are focusing on a different kind of update: those you pay for. Chapter 2 and Chapter 3.

Lets just have the Easter Bunny then. Peoples of all faiths from around the world could enjoy destroying him... errr, gathering quest items for him. =D
(Come on, you know you want to collect randomly spawning easter eggs and turn them in for prizes!)

it would be fun to see a cute little bunny running around that you have to catch for a quest or something

Give that bunny a dumb AI as the that pig has in the last hog quest and you're done for easter. Also make it spawn in FoW near Rastigan and have it chased to forgemaster.

I dont see why they couldn't do an easter event. People argue that because of differing religions it would be conflicting but use this as an example, we had a Christmas event. Christmas is not celebrated everwhere by everyone, point made.

by passing any relation to the holiday and religion...
EASTER EGG HUNT would be GREAT FUN
(have bunch of easter egg item scatter thought out the game world... eat one.. and you can get +1% moral boost!)
But to make it more theme... name it "Dwayna's Egg Hunt"

Twas a Wintersday event, not a Christmas event. No birth of Christ. No Santa.

well im up for randomly dropping choc egs, or maybe randomly appearing magic decorated Moa Eggs
as to the easter bunny....Noooooo...unless i can kill it ^^
make it a boss critter.....
all we need is for one of the female NPCs in town to mention that the <town name> orphanage is having trouble because the Vile SpringBunny monster Spirit has stolen all the MagicMoa eggs....these eggs are special treats for the little chiddlers, and she badly needs um BigStrong Hero types to go chase MagicMoa birds till they drop a specified amount of eggs, or that we can trade in special colored ones for certain items....same as winters eve was...collect item, take to NPC, trade for item, go do it again...
quest to hunt down the Ravenous Bunny Spirit...then find you need a specific InstaThwacker to scoop him up and bop him on his leetle fluffy head ^^
then, once you have trudges over half the map (and for goddess sake, A net, NO DROKS!) you have gotten enough items together to go find the Doddering Old Mage that can make a BunnyThwacker.
then go out, and kick his fluffy white tail

I feel it is important to respect people's enthusiasm about their faith as long as no one is hurt. If someone wants to preach to me I'll respectfully listen and will admire their courage even when I disagree with some of what they are saying. However, I don't think it is Anet's place to try to engage a historically Christian holiday which arises from the events occuring during the Passover. Unlike Christmas which was an adopted pagan holiday, there isn't much room to argue about the origins of Easter since the first Christian writings ~30 years after Christ were clear on this point.
Sometimes the best way to respect a religious holiday is to let people celebrate in a religious manner and not try to generalize the holiday. While seasonal festivals have universal origins, Anet should stick with the two the currently celebrate.

Well it would be cool, but I believe Gaile said Sunday when we were getting ready for sync dance when someone asked, that there wasnt going to be one as they are busy with Chap. 2 and 3.

Currently A-net celebrates no holidays. They do have some events scheduled events around holiday times.
I dont mind being preached to however i do have a problem when people Impose their religions on me, for example suggesting that one of the characters in a game i play is a religious figure. I take offense to that therefore i was hurt, therefore the OP had no consideration for the feelings of people of other religions.

Hi everyone, you'll find that many of you have had your posts deleted. There is a reason for that. It is because this thread is in the suggestion forum, asking for an easter event. That is all. It is not a place to debate religion. If any of you want to continue your small debate, do so in PMs or create a new topic in the off-topic forum where it belongs.
With how many posts I had to just delete, it would have been easier for me just to delete the thread.
Lets keep this on-topic please.
